A little bit about me:

I’m married to the love of my life.

I have too many rescue animals. Cats, dogs, chickens, rats, and turtles (I know you shouldn’t have favorites, but I do and they’re my cats).

I have a passion for reading both fiction and nonfiction, creating art in all sorts of media, knitting and crochet, riding my motorcycle, studying religions and history, cryptids and ghost stories… I could go on.

I grew up with Goosebumps and anything R.L. Stine, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Goblins in the Castle and all of Bruce Coville’s short story collections, George Romero and anything ghost, urban legend or zombie related.

I’ve been writing since I was 11. I took the plunge in 2018 and started working on the world I had been dreaming about for almost two decades: Fulton Hills. It’s now one of a handful of towns in the fictional Fulton County (not the one in Georgia).

I have a love for world-building that I like to believe I got from my mother - having grown up watching her build them with almost manic enthusiasm, how could I not?

I was the host of the podcast, Alone in a Room with Invisible People with my mother, Holly Lisle.

One of my favorite things is writing something that will genuinely scare my horror-fan brother, Mark - because then I know I have a good chance of scaring others.
